120ml fat, this can be vegetable oil or melted butter (½ cup)
240ml water (1 cup)
½ teaspoon salt (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
Preparations
Preheat your oven to 175C (350F)
Prepare a baking pan with parchment paper on the bottom, flour and butter on the sides
Instructions
Start boiling the water
In a medium bowl, sift the cocoa powder, add the flour and baking powder (also the salt)
Whisk so everything is well distributed
In another large bowl, add the eggs, milk and fat (also the vanilla)
Whisk until combined
Add the sugar and whisk again
Add the flour and cocoa mixture into the large bowl and whisk until almost combined
Add the boiling water then whisk until combined
Pour the batter into the pan
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes depending on the thickness of your cake (dependent on the baking pan you are using), once the cake starts pulling off the edges and a skewer inserted in the middle comes off clean, it is done

Notes
Do not overbeat the mixture after the flour is added! If you develop the proteins on the flour, you're cake might fall after coming out of the oven
Measure the flour properly, adding more flour than intended might cause the cake to fall! (See: measuring flour)
Your main flavoring is going to be the cocoa powder, use a good one!
Be a good boymoder and crack the eggs in a separate bowl so no shells get into your precious cake!
Coffee enhances the flavor of chocolate, you can change a bit of the milk for milk with coffee :3
