Bóymoder French Toast
Ingredients
- Slices of bread
- 4 eggs
- ¾ cup milk
- 67g sugar (⅔ cup)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- Butter
Instructions
- In a bowl or plate add the eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla, whisk until combined
- Add a tablespoon of butter to a pan at medium heat
- Add the slice of bread the the egg and milk mixture, once it's soaked in, flip to soak both sides
- Once the bread is soaked and the butter is all melted and hot, add the bread
- After about 1 and a half minutes (or once it's golden brown), add another tablespoon of butter and flip the bread onto it
- Fry again for about 1 and a half minutes (or once it's golden brown) then take it off the pan
- Serve with honey, maple syrup, dulce the leche or any other wonderful sweet things you love

Notes
- Frying in butter can be hard, see frying in butter
- You can play around with the recipe, less or more eggs, less or more milk, using only yolks, change some or all the milk for cream, adding seasonings (cinnamon is quite popular)
- You can soak the bread for as long as you want, play around and see what you like best
- I use about a tablespoon per side of the bread but you can add more or less depending on the side of the pan, you can also spread the butter on the outer side of the sandwich to get a more even color
